Build the best sandwich in this running game

Sandwich Runner is a free-to-play running game that lets you stack foods to create the best sandwich before the lap ends. In this refreshing twist on the simulation genre, you start with a pair of sliced bread loaves running through a platform. You then guide this bread to take other ingredients and finally, to the hungry customer waiting at the end.

Its graphics design, basic gameplay concepts, and even the choice of sound effects make it similar to a lot of running games currently available in the app market such as Girl Runner 3D and Investment Run.

Run for different ingredients

Sandwich Runner still proves itself a fun way to pass the time despite its seemingly unoriginal game format. It has a simple concept with easy gameplay mechanics. You only have to choose between two ingredients at the time, even as the sandwich grows taller. Also, the game starts fairly slowly, allowing you to get accustomed to the pacing that gradually increases over time.

Even though it’s simple, the game is far from boring. For each stage, a certain sandwich is required — from simple triple beef and lettuce ingredients to those that include rotten eggs and dirty socks. Also, your performance is graded from zero to three stars. This depends on how much of the recipe you’ve gotten correct. Also, at the end is your customer, who eats what you served and rates your work.

Unfortunately, the game suffers from a few control problems. There are certain stages where the response is delayed. This could lead you to fall off the platform or the holes, or get the wrong ingredient. Also, players report something tricky in the game, that is, if you try to give a rating in-app with less than three stars, the submit button is disabled.

A fun and easy game

Sandwich Runner is a fun and simple game. It features graphics and game mechanics most mobile players have seen or tried before, making this app instantly intuitive. It is also beginner-friendly, although it gets challenging later on. Unfortunately, the game suffers from control issues, with its delays adversely affecting the gameplay experience. Still, if you’re looking to pass the time, it’s worth a shot.
